SIRISH Scholarship 2025 – Scheme For Tea Tribe and Adivasi Community

The Tea Tribes and Adivasi Welfare Department start the SIRISH Scholarship in Assam. This is a scholarship scheme for students who belong to the tea tribe and the Adivasi community. Tea Tribe means students whose parents are working as tea tribe workers. For students who are good at education and want to pursue their higher studies, the welfare department helps them to uplift financially with the help of this scholarship scheme. Students who belong to Assam and whose family are related to the tea tribe or Adivasi can apply for this scheme. Students pursuing pre-matric or post-matric courses are eligible to take advantage of all the scholarships.

This scheme is implemented under the Directorate of tea tribes and Adivasi Welfare. The department provides various scholarships that will help meritorious students to pursue their higher studies without any financial burden. They provide scholarships for school-going and college-going students for their higher studies and also help them to improve their skills. This scheme also helps students who are work work as entrepreneurs, startups and self-employment activities.

The reason behind the implementation of the SIRISH Scholarship is to help students financially with their higher education. Some students are good at studies, but they do not have enough money to pursue their higher studies. They have to face various types of financial struggles in their life. With this scholarship department helps them to continue their study with the help of this scholarship. This financial assistance will help students to pay their tuition fees and buy books and other educational materials.

Types Of Scholarship

Pre/Post Matric Scholarship

  • In this scheme government will provide a stipend for pre-matric and post-matric students. This scheme is only applicable to the Tea Tribes and the Adivasi community students. In this scheme, students of pre-matric class 9th and 10th will get 3000 rupees per annum. For post-matric students from class 11th to 12th, get 5000 rupees per annum. Students who pursue 3 3-year degree course will get 7000 per annum.

Simon Sing Horo Special Post Matric Scholarship

  • Scholarship, especially a one-time incentive of Rs 10000 for the students who have clear HSLC under the Board of Secondary Education and belong to the Tea tribe and Adivasi community.

Financial Assistance for Higher Studies

  • In this, students of the tea tribes and the adivasi community pursuing higher studies will get a scholarship. In this scholarship, students who pursue MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BVSc, MVSc, B.Tech, M.Tech, B. Arch, M.Arch, M.Phil, PhD, BE, and equivalent courses will get 35000 per annum.
  • Students who are pursuing MBA, M.Sc (Agriculture), LLM, B.Sc (Agriculture), B.SC (Bio-Tech) and equivalent courses will get 30000 rupees per annum.
  • Students doing BSc nursing and post-graduation courses like MA, M.Sc, MSc Nursing, M.Com, MSW, LLB, B.Ed and equivalent will get a financial support of 25000 per annum.

Scholarship for ANM/GNM and Technical Courses

  • Students who are in the medical and nursing field, like doing ANM, GNM and paramedical training are also get financial assistance under the scheme. Students who do GNM from a government or non-government institute will get Rs 20000 per annum.
  • For ANM students scholarship amount is 15000 per annum.
  • Students pursuing Polytechnic, vocational courses of 3 years will get 8000 per annum.
  • Students who are doing ITI, lab technician and other diplomas less than 2 years get a 6000 rupees scholarship.
  • Courses like beauty therapist, PGDCA and other diploma courses less than 1 year will get 4000 rupees per annum.

Coaching for Higher Studies

  • Students who take coaching for higher studies, especially for the competitive exams like, civil services exam, Staff Selection Commission, medical and Engineering, banking, etc., will get a scholarship under the scheme.

SHGs Women Grants

  • In this scheme, selected women of SHGs will get a scholarship of Rs 25000

Swahid Dayal Das Panika Swaniyojan Achoni

  • In this scheme, financial assistance will be provided to self-employed youth who belong to tribes community in Assam. In this scheme government will provide financial assistance of 25000

Scholarship for Students who clear the civil services Prelims of UPSC/APSC

  • Students who have already cleared the pre-exam of the Union Public Service Commission or the Assam Public Service Commission will get us scholarship for the Mains exam preparation.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Under the scheme, applicants who want to apply belong to the tea tribe and the Adivasi community.
  • Only Assam state permanent residents are eligible for the scheme.
  • The family annual income of the applicant is not more than 5 lakh rupees and only.
  • The age of the applicant is between 20 to 35 years.
  • Completed at least 3 years in a self-development or any skill training program.

  • On this page, you will see an online application option.
  • When you click on that option, you will be taken to the online application portal.
  • If you are a new/first-time user, then click on the registration. If you already have an account, then click on the login option.
  • For first-time registration, you have to enter details like your name, gender, email ID, mobile number and set a password.
  • Now, after OTP verification, you will be registered on the official website.
